  2. Hi Kristi,
Just read your message. I am in the UK
and had the same diagnosis in 2016 and am now 45. I would really recommend to see if you can have a blood test such as the Guardant360, to try and profile your type of cancer (EGFR/ALK etc). I did have to pay for this, but the NHS has negotiated a discount with the manufacturer. The results of this can lead to specific treatments that might not be Chemotherapy. I would ask your Doctor about this, as there are some other similar tests. I wish you all the best, and hope this might be of some use? Take care,
    John

I am just starting on this journey 45 year old never smoker, mother of 3 with a very similar diagnosis – stage 4 adenocarcinoma, minimal plural effusion and 2 lymph nodes in the middle of the chest. Starting chemo on Friday. Hoping you will see this or someone on your team and be compelled to be in contact. 8. Cancer of the kidney cured with the help of cannabis oil
Hey everyone i’m gayle dezell and few years ago,i was diagnosed with Kidney cancer called renal cell carcinoma and my doctors said that it has already spread (metastasize) to distant organs in my body and there is nothing they can do for me but help me to control the pain till my death.I was very frustrated and taught of how i had lived my life and who will help me look after my dearest son after i am gone so choose to put up a fight for my life.I went to different hospitals, tried home remedies and even went to the local health food and herbs store and bought stuff from the owners. There was no improvement; in fact,it got worse.I was wondering how long was i going to suffer in pains like this before i die,I definitely was not going back to the doctor and I had things to do but I couldn’t physically get them done.I thought, something has to happen then someone told me of how Dr.nick plowman and how he has been healing and saving people all over the world with cannabis oil,he gave me his contacts (oncologynickplowman@gmail.com and instagram handle @dr_nick_plowman).i made contact with him and order of 60ml oil treatment which is the full treatment package from him and he gave me dosage instructions which lasted about 90 days, which i followed.A few weeks later the symptoms cleared up and went back to my doctors and they confirmed that my Kidney cancer leaving and last week, which was 4 months after i ordered the cannabis oil from Dr.nick plowman and my doctors confirmed that i am completely healed for good.so i want to say a word of appreciation to my friend (mandy) who gave me the contact and also to God for His mercy and goodness in my life! i hope my testimony save’s a life…Good-day

My name is Abby and I’m currently a student at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI working on a project called CancerEd. My team and I are developing curriculum materials to teach children about cancer in an interactive but scientifically accurate way. We are looking to send out a survey to parents who have had cancer to better understand how they communicate with their children about cancer and we would love your help with this! If you could email me at ans29@students.calvin.edu, I would love to give you more information about the survey and about our project. Hope to hear from you soon! Thanks!

the right to keep this medicine from people who are

    cancer.Goodluck.

  12. Emily, I was diagnosed stage IV lung cancer (inoperable) at the age of 45 in December of 2014. I also was a college volleyball/basketball athlete so when I was nursing a soar shoulder for a couple of years with chiropractic — needless to say I NEVER saw LC in my cards. I started on Tarceva in January 2015 which ate away at the hairball that was positioned high in my right lung against a nerve (hence the shoulder issues). Never a cough or a hack. Tarceva actually sledgehammered 2 small spots on my brain and we were able to utilize gamma radiation for the one spot that remained on my brain instead of waiting for the Tarceva to finish it off in March 2015. They finished the hairball in my lung off with radiation in Aug. 2015.
So I continue on Tarceva and continue with NED on my 4-6 week scans. I am a mother of 3 active boys ages 16, 14, 12 , wife of an outstanding supportive husband of 21 years and an intervention specialist for students in grades K-6 (25th year) at an elementary school in my backyard. (Thank GOD! my commute is a 10 step walk to my job:) I would love to make contact with you. I have a lovely friend who is a LUNG FORCE activist here in Sandusky, Ohio and she has led me to your name. She lost her sister to LC over a year ago, they found her hairball at a very late stage since it was tucked behind her heart. I would be interested in your healing remedies and health strategies that are working for you:) I utilize acupuncture and massages weekly which seems to be beneficial. Thanks for any information. Diane Majoy (Sandusky Ohio)

  13. Thank you for giving others hope Emily. I lost my mother to lung cancer 3 years ago, on the 19th of this month. I wish you many years of happiness, motherhood, and to be cancer free to enjoy your girls!

  15. I just stumbled on your web site while googling another Emily for a totally different subject. Just want to tell you that I’m doing great after stage IV treatment in the original Iressa trial (Dr. Gandara) and surgery (Dr. Jablons) back in 2001! I still have a couple ground glass nodules that are being following that are probably pre-cancerous but probably will never do anything. Sounds like you are doing great are enjoying motherhood now – wonderful!

    • Hi Susan,
Really interested in your email. What other treatment did you receive alongside the Iressa/Gefitinib? I have recently been diagnosed as stage IV Nsclc/EGFR-non smoker aged 41 years.
      Lovely to hear survivor stories,
      John

  16. Hello, my sister had been recently diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer a month ago. Our family was devastated as she is only 35 and never smoked a cigarette in her life. She is also a mother to a two-year-old little girl. I came across your story and it was truly uplifting because it showed that this terrible disease can be beat! My sister was especially inspired.
Thank you so very much. There is hope!

  17. Good morning and Happy New Year! I just read your story on MSN and was absolutely thrilled to see how well you’re doing, and that you and Miles will be parents this spring. I’m very impressed that you’ve shared your story like this, and can’t imagine the good that it’s doing for others. Just as your life was saved by hearing someone else’s story, you are paying it forward tenfold. Good on you and keep kicking butt! 🙂

  18. I’ve read your blog from the very beginning and over 3 years on I had to post a message to say how amazing you both are! My beautiful mum was diagnosed with lung cancer the same month as you were Emily. I searched the Internet for stories of hope and positivity to keep mum hopeful of beating the cancer. And I came across your site! My mum couldn’t believe that someone as young and vibrant as Emily had that awful cancer (mum was a young fit 59 year old and we thought that was far too young). We followed your journey with such excitement at each success you had. Mum always asked me to check how you were doing. My mum had many celebrations and clear scans at the same time as you Emily. Sadly my mum passed away in 2014 from a heart attack. I have continued to read about your journey and I cried tears of joy when I read about your baby girls! So so happy for you both! Nobody deserves it more than you guys! I know mum will be looking down and will be so over the moon for you. Thank you for being such an inspiration Emily. You’re going to be an amazing mother! And as a mum myself, I can tell you it is the best thing in the world 🙂 Congratulations xx
